Job Description
Manufacturing Cabinet Assembly Lead (Bilingual English/Spanish) Opportunity! Monday-Friday, 5:00 am - 1:30 pm OakCraft is the largest manufacturer of custom and semi-custom cabinetry in the Southwestern United States and has been family-owned and operated since 1983. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Bilingual Manufacturing Cabinet Assembly Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will have 3-6 years of woodworking experience and specific skills for the position. This role is for management of employees' efforts to complete various tasks, utilizing knowledge to ensure accuracy, completion schedules and quality standards through delegation and work assignments to achieve peak performance. Essential job functions and responsibilities, but not limited to:
- Maintains a complete understanding of all aspects of the department and trains employees in all functions and required duties consistent with quality, efficiency and completion schedules in line with company's goals and objectives.
- Displays proficiency in multiple areas of the department, such as proficiency in the assembly and evaluation of wood parts, able to distinguish between different wood species (i.e.: Maple Hickory, Alder, Euro Beech and Oak).
- Actively identifies and addresses violations of policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates an awareness and ability to control the expenses of the department.
- Employees are required to lift or move heavy objects may be as much as 50 pounds or more; employees regularly are required to sit, walk, stand, bend and balance, may occasionally be required to climb, kneel, crouch or crawl; required mobility to utilize arms, hands and fingers to grasp, handle, feel and reach with hands and arms.
- Responsible for the following duties: o Ability to read, comprehend and apply understanding to schedules; o Reviews job orders to ensure all custom items are ordered, on the schedule and meets the ship date; o Training, assigning and rotating workers in all the assembly positions to achieve peak performance; o Assists department supervisor in meeting daily production goals; o Leading the department in the supervisor's absence; o Performs a physical inventory; o Utilizes problem solving skills and presents solutions; and o Assists in evaluating the performance of department employees.
EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/EXPERIENCEREQUIREMENTS
- 3-6 years of wood-working experience required.
- Pre-employment drug test, subject to random drug tests.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
