Job Title:
Production Technician I / Production Associate Job Description This role works in a clean room manufacturing environment assembling medical devices using hand tools, fixtures, and basic equipment. You follow detailed written work instructions, maintain strict quality standards, and ensure products are assembled accurately and efficiently. You use your mechanical aptitude, strong hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail to perform repetitive tasks with precision and help the team meet production goals. Responsibilities + Assemble medical devices using hand tools, fixtures, and basic manufacturing equipment in a clean room environment. + Follow written work instructions, procedures, and established quality standards to complete tasks accurately and consistently. + Perform work in a clean room while adhering to all safety rules, personal protective equipment requirements, and company guidelines. + Inspect small parts and assembled products visually, using corrective lenses if needed, to identify defects or quality issues. + Report any product defects, equipment issues, or quality concerns promptly to supervisors or designated team leads. + Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including proper handling and storage of tools and materials. + Handle small components with hands and fingers, ensuring careful and precise assembly of parts. + Work at a fast manufacturing pace while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. + Meet or exceed daily production targets and contribute to overall team performance. + Use general production and machine operation skills as needed to support manufacturing activities. + Follow all clean room protocols, including required attire, hygiene practices, and contamination control procedures. Essential Skills + High school diploma or GED , with the ability to provide a physical copy. + Ability to stand for 12-hour shifts as required by the production schedule. + Ability to work at a fast manufacturing pace while maintaining accuracy. + Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hand tools and basic manufacturing equipment. + Ability to handle small components with hands and fingers for extended periods. + Ability to inspect small parts visually, using corrective lenses if needed. + Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written work instructions and procedures. + Comfort working in a clean room environment and following strict safety and cleanliness standards. + Reliability and consistency in performing repetitive tasks with precision. + Willingness to wear required clean room attire, including a mask and hood that covers the face and hair, leaving only the eyes exposed. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in production, general labor, or general manufacturing is beneficial. + Experience in assembly work, especially involving small components, is an advantage. + Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment is helpful. + Exposure to clean room environments or medical device manufacturing is a plus, though not required. + Familiarity with basic machine operation in a production setting is an asset. + Good communication skills to effectively report production, equipment, or quality issues. + Comfort working long shifts and weekend schedules as needed by the operation. + Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise assembly tasks. + No prior GMP experience is required for this role. You work in an air-conditioned facility that supports comfort and focus throughout your shift. Work Environment This position is based in an air-conditioned clean room manufacturing facility. The standard schedule is a 1st shift, running from 5:23 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Thursday through Saturday, totaling long shifts over a condensed workweek. You stand for extended periods and work at a consistent, fast manufacturing pace. All required personal protective equipment ( PPE ) is provided, and you follow strict clean room protocols. This includes wearing a mask and hood that cover the face and hair, leaving only the eyes exposed, to maintain a controlled, contamination-free environment. You work with hand tools, fixtures, small components, and basic manufacturing equipment in a well-organized, safety-focused production area. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tempe, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.75- $19.
