Meal Prep and Production Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Meal Prep Production Assistant to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the production of high-quality meals in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The Meal Prep Production Assistant will work closely with the Executive Chef to ensure efficient meal preparation, adherece to safety and sanitation standards, and contribute to the overall success of our business operations.

Responsibilities:

Preparation of Ingredients:

Assist in measuring, cutting, and preparing ingredients according to specified recipes and portion sizes. Ensure the freshness and quality of all ingredients used in meal preparation.

Meal Assembly:

Collaborate with the kitchen team to assemble meals accurately and efficiently. Follow established guidelines to maintain consistency and quality in meal presentation.

Kitchen Organization:

Keep workstations clean, organized, and stocked with necessary ingredients and tools. Assist in managing inventory levels and communicate any shortages to the supervisor.

Food Safety and Sanitation:

Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe work environment. Follow proper handwashing, glove usage, and hygiene practices to prevent cross-contamination.

Quality Control:

Participate in quality control checks to ensure that meals meet established standards. Report any issues or discrepancies to the supervisor promptly.

Team Collaboration:

Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to achieve production goals and timelines. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow.

Adaptability:

Be flexible and able to adapt to changes in production schedules or menu items.

Compliance:

Follow company policies, procedures, and safety regulations at all times. Attend training sessions to stay updated on new recipes, techniques, and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a similar role in a commercial kitchen or meal prep setting is preferred. Knowledge of basic culinary techniques and food safety practices. Ability to follow recipes and portion guidelines accurately. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate to heavy loads.
