About the Role Happy Brain Bakeshop is looking for a detail-oriented, dependable Production Assistant to help us keep the dopamine (and the dough) flowing. We run on a structured, step-by-step production process with clear checkpoints at every stage. You need to be someone who follows a process precisely and takes pride in getting the small things right. We'll train you on our system from day one. This role is about consistent, reliable execution, not creative experimentation. If you take real satisfaction in nailing a process perfectly, batch after batch, you'll thrive here. What You'll Do Measure, mix, portion, and shape dough to spec, following our process Assist with baking, finishing, and cooling Package finished products for pickup, delivery, and market events Track incoming orders/tickets and set completed orders out in the pickup room when ready Maintain a clean, organized, food-safe kitchen: dishes, trash, and mopping included (no glamour here, just great cookies) Help manage inventory and restock supplies as needed Occasionally help with setup and teardown for pop-ups and events Schedule 15-20 hours/week. Saturday availability is required. What We're Looking For Clean and organized Reliable and punctual Accuracy and attention to detail in every step (critical, as any baker knows) Comfortable following a structured process precisely and repetitively Fast and efficient without cutting corners. Nearly everything we do is time-dependent, so pace and following steps matters Proactive with a planning mentality Good customer service skills. Comfortable and friendly if customers or drivers have questions or concerns. We are called "Happy Brain" for a reason! We need to live up to providing a positive and helpful experience to our customers Must have a current food handler certification, or be able to complete one within 30 days of hire Can lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Pay $18/hour to start, with room to grow based on performance and business volume. Pay:
