Job Description:
Production Pattern Maker Los Angeles, CA Full Time | On Site
CINQ CINQ
is seeking a highly skilled Production Pattern Maker to join our atelier in Los Angeles. We are specifically looking for someone with advanced technical experience who can accurately translate runway level bridal designs into production ready Gerber patterns while maintaining the integrity of fit, proportion, and construction. This is not a fashion design role. This position is for a highly technical production pattern maker with deep Gerber expertise, strong grading knowledge, and an advanced understanding of luxury garment construction. Responsibilities
  • Plot, build, and maintain production ready patterns within Gerber
  • Digitize and translate existing patterns, drapes, and runway samples into accurate production files
  • Create clean, organized, and technically precise Gerber patterns for production
  • Develop grading rules and maintain consistency across all size ranges
  • Establish and communicate grading standards clearly within Gerber and production workflows
  • Maintain the integrity, proportion, and silhouette of each gown throughout all size ranges
  • Collaborate closely with the design, cutting, and sewing teams during development and production
  • Lead fittings alongside the design team and execute technical fit corrections
  • Work closely with seamstresses to guide construction methods and sewing techniques
  • Collaborate with the sewing team to ensure garments are executed to couture level standards
  • Review garments during construction to catch fit or construction issues before completion
  • Create and maintain organized Gerber files, markers, grading, and spec standards
  • Work with delicate luxury fabrics including silk tulle, lace, corsetry, and structured bridal construction
  • Assist in improving atelier systems and production workflow standards Requirements
  • Advanced Gerber experience required
  • Strong experience building production patterns directly in Gerber
  • Senior level draping and pattern making skills
  • Expert understanding of fit, grading, garment balance, and production construction
  • Advanced understanding of grading rules, proportional balance, and luxury fit across size ranges
  • Strong understanding of how corsetry, structure, and silhouette must scale across bridal sizing without losing design integrity
  • Couture level sewing and construction knowledge
  • Ability to communicate construction methods and sewing techniques clearly to seamstresses and production teams
  • Experience taking runway or editorial garments into production
  • Strong technical knowledge of bridal, corsetry, and eveningwear construction
  • Ability to identify and solve construction and fit issues independently
  • Highly detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced atelier environment
  • Minimum 10 years experience in production pattern making required
  • Fluent in Spanish and English is a plus Ideal Candidate You are highly technical, detail obsessed, and deeply experienced in Gerber.
You understand how luxury garments should fit, hang, balance, and translate into production. You can look at a runway gown and understand how to engineer it into a production ready garment while preserving the original design intention. You are also comfortable collaborating directly with seamstresses and production teams to refine sewing techniques, improve construction methods, and maintain couture level standards throughout production.
