Full Job Description Overview:
Darcie Kent Estate Winery is looking for a reliable, energetic, and team-oriented Runner to support both our hospitality and production teams. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role for someone who takes initiative, stays organized, and enjoys being an essential part of a team. As a Runner, you'll help keep daily operations moving by transporting supplies and materials, supporting production, maintaining clean and organized spaces, restocking hospitality areas, and assisting with guest service and events.
Compensation:
$18.00/hr
What You'll Do:
Support Daily Operations Transport wine, bottles, glassware, tools, equipment, and other materials between production areas, tasting rooms, storage spaces, and departments. Assist with loading and unloading deliveries and organizing items in designated storage areas. Respond quickly to requests from hospitality, production, and management teams. Adapt to changing priorities and assist wherever support is needed. Assist the Production Team Support winemaking and cellar teams during bottling, fermentation, labeling, packaging, and other production activities. Retrieve and deliver tools, materials, and equipment to keep production running efficiently. Assist with basic production tasks as directed while following safety and quality standards. Maintain Clean & Organized Spaces Keep workspaces, tools, equipment, carts, and shared areas clean, sanitized, and organized. Help maintain cleanliness throughout front- and back-of-house areas, including the tasting room, terrace and green, office, and customer-facing bathrooms. Follow all health and safety procedures to help maintain a safe, compliant, and welcoming environment. Stock & Support Inventory Replenish tasting room supplies, including wine bottles, glassware, merchandise, and hospitality materials. Assist with inventory organization, restocking, and storage. Communicate low-stock items, discrepancies, and supply needs to management promptly. Support Our Guests & Hospitality Team Assist guests when needed, including carrying purchases to their vehicles. Help maintain a welcoming, organized, and efficient tasting room during busy service periods. Assist with event setup and breakdown, both onsite and offsite. What We're Looking For Reliable, punctual, and dependable. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Positive, proactive, team-oriented attitude. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and a willingness to take direction. Ability to recognize when support is needed and take initiative. Commitment to cleanliness, safety, and excellent service. Previous hospitality, food & beverage, winery, or production experience is preferred but not required . Physical & Schedule Requirements Ability to regularly lift and carry 40-50 pounds . Ability to remain on your feet and active for extended periods. Availability to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings based on business needs. Ability to respond quickly and safely to changing priorities in a dynamic work environment.
