Job Title:
Product Technician Job Description The Quality Product Technician works closely with engineering and production teams to support production control and ensure that product information is accurately and effectively translated to the production floor. This role focuses on developing and implementing manufacturing methods, visual aids, and communication tools that help operators produce high-quality products consistently and efficiently. Responsibilities Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support production control activities and ensure smooth manufacturing operations. Translate technical information, drawings, and specifications into clear, practical instructions for use on the production floor. Develop and maintain manufacturing methods, process documentation, and visual aids to guide production staff. Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures to verify product dimensions and ensure quality standards. Interpret blueprints and shop drawings to support accurate production and quality control checks. Assist with quality control activities by inspecting parts, identifying nonconformances, and supporting corrective actions. Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality. Communicate effectively with team members in engineering, production, and quality to resolve issues and clarify requirements. Use Microsoft Office applications to create and update documentation, reports, and visual work instructions. Maintain a strong attention to detail while working in an industrial manufacturing environment. Essential Skills Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret tape measures and shop drawings. Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Proficiency using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers. Strong attention to detail in all aspects of work. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Understanding of quality control principles in a manufacturing setting. Additional Skills & Qualifications Background in manufacturing or quality assurance. Experience with process improvement and design for manufacturability. Ability to create and update visual aids, work instructions, and other production documentation. Comfort working collaboratively in small, cross-functional teams. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a hands-on industrial manufacturing environment that is not climate-controlled, so you should be comfortable working in warm conditions due to operating machinery. The company has a close-knit feel, with a total workforce of around 50+ employees and departments typically operating with small teams of 2-5 people, encouraging collaboration and direct communication. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, providing a consistent daytime work routine. Work involves regular use of precision measuring tools and interaction with production equipment on the shop floor, with appropriate industrial attire suitable for a manufacturing setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Lodi, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
