Job Description

Job Description An information management client with a line of business in entertainment services is looking for a post-production studio specialist to join their archival services team. This opening will be a morning shift from 7am-3:30pm 5 days a week on site in Hollywood. The Post-Production Studio Specialist supports the preservation, organization, tracking, and maintenance of film and media assets throughout the post-production lifecycle. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a detail-oriented environment, enjoys repetitive process-driven work, and is passionate about film preservation, media management, and studio operations. The specialist will collaborate closely with archivists, restoration teams, editors, and production stakeholders to ensure the integrity, accessibility, and long-term preservation of valuable media assets.
  • Organize, catalog, and track film, video, and digital media assets throughout the post-production workflow.
  • Perform detailed quality control reviews of materials, ensuring accurate identification, labeling, and documentation of assets.
  • Conduct metadata entry, research, and verification within asset management databases and tracking systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of physical and digital media locations, condition reports, and chain-of-custody documentation.
  • Assist with the handling, inventory, and organization of transmissive materials, including film negatives, reels, and other archival elements.
  • Support digitization, migration, and asset preservation efforts while adhering to established standards and best practices.

  • 2+ years of experience in a post-production environment and role working in film editing
  • Detail oriented skillset with a strong ability to do mundane repetitive tasks and work collaboratively with a team environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team player mentality
  • Post production experience with Transmissive Materials such as negatives and 35mm film editing
  • Experience with databases and metadata research or capture
  • Restoration and asset preservation experience
  • such as working in an archive
  • FADGI compliance familiarity
  • Interest in film, music, reading, entertainment
