Job Title:
Production Operator Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and safety-oriented Production Operator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will manage salt panel and blending panel operations, batch preparation, and packaging operations. Your responsibilities will include packaging, labeling, and weighing Phos-Chek® products, completing production records, and collecting quality control samples. Collaborate with a team of operators in producing Phos-Chek® retardant and foams, and assist in shipping and receiving finished goods and raw materials. You will ensure a clean, safe, and healthy work environment, handle materials, warehousing, and shipping, and maintain physical control of non-conforming raw materials and finished goods. Additionally, you will help maintain production records and ensure compliance with D.O.T., industrial hygiene, and OSHA regulations. Responsibilities Operate salt and blending panels. Prepare batches for production. Package, label, and weigh Phos-Chek® products. Complete production records and records of lot numbers shipped. Collect and mark representative quality control samples. Collaborate with a team of operators in the production of Phos-Chek® retardant and foams. Assist in shipping and receiving finished goods and raw materials. Ensure a clean, safe, and healthy work environment for production employees. Handle materials, warehousing, and shipping of Phos-Chek® retardant and suppressant products. Maintain physical control of non-conforming raw materials and finished goods. Help maintain production records. Ensure compliance with regulations for D.O.T., industrial hygiene, OSHA, etc. Essential Skills Experience in general production. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Willingness to learn different functions of production and warehouse. Strong safety orientation. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with packaging, palletizing, machine operation, forklift operation, and hand tools. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends. Why Work Here? Work Environment Our production floor is a large manufacturing environment that can be hot, loud, and dusty. The production of fire retardant causes particles and dust, and the coloring in the retardant can stain attire. You will be required to wear steel toe shoes, dark color pants and shirt. We provide PPE, including a hard hat, safety glasses, and ear protection. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mcclellan, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
