Creative Production Assistant & Event Stylist Location:
Orange County, CA About The Simple Luxe The Simple Luxe is a luxury event planning, design, rental, balloon, fabrication, and brand activation company serving Southern California and beyond. We specialize in private events, corporate events, brand activations, custom builds, and immersive event experiences. We are looking for a Creative Production Assistant & Event Stylist who genuinely loves creating, designing, styling, crafting, and bringing ideas to life. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both the creative and hands-on sides of event production. You won't simply design projects, you'll help build, install, style, and execute them. This is not a desk-only design position. We are looking for someone who gets excited about seeing an idea go from concept to reality. Position Overview The Creative Production Assistant supports event design, styling, mockups, balloons, crafting, installations, content creation, and creative project execution. This role works directly with our creative team to help develop event concepts, prepare visual presentations, create custom décor elements, style events, and assist with installations. The ideal candidate is creative, resourceful, detail-oriented, and enjoys finding solutions that bring creative visions to life. We are looking for thinkers, creators, and problem-solvers. Responsibilities Design & Creative Development Assist with event design concepts and creative brainstorming Create digital mockups and visual presentations via canva or illustrator Develop inspiration boards and design references Research creative solutions, materials, and design ideas Assist in translating client concepts into executable event designs Help source décor, props, and creative materials Styling & Event Design Style event spaces according to design plans Assist with tablescapes, décor layouts, signage, and installations Execute event designs with attention to detail Ensure styling aligns with company standards and client expectations Make onsite design adjustments when necessary Balloons, Crafts & Creative Production Create balloon garlands and balloon installations Build custom décor elements and props Assist with fabrication finishing and creative details Paint, craft, assemble, and prepare event materials Support production of custom event experiences Event Installation & Execution Assist with event setups and breakdowns Install backdrops, signage, rentals, and décor Help execute events onsite Troubleshoot creative challenges during installations Work efficiently under event deadlines Content Creation & Brand Representation As a creative event company, documenting our work is an important part of how we market our services and showcase our projects. All team members are required to assist with capturing light behind-the-scenes content, project progress, warehouse production, installation footage, event setups, and finished event photos and videos. Responsibilities include:
Capturing behind-the-scenes content in the warehouse Documenting creative processes and installations Taking photos and videos during event setups and executions Capturing finished event details and completed projects Assisting with content collection for social media and marketing purposes Professional photography or videography experience is not required. We will provide training on how to use an iPhone to capture photos and videos that align with company standards. Team members may appear in behind-the-scenes content, project documentation, social media content, and marketing materials. Requirements Clean driving record required Must be willing to learn and confidently operate a high-roof, long-wheelbase Ford Transit Experience with event styling, balloons, visual merchandising, décor, crafting, fabrication, floral design, or related creative fields preferred Experience creating mockups, presentations, or design concepts preferred Strong attention to detail Strong organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Positive attitude and team-first mindset Must be dependable, flexible, and willing to take ownership Uniform & Professional Appearance The Simple Luxe team represents our brand both in the warehouse and onsite at events. All team members are required to wear company-issued or approved branded apparel while working. This includes:
Warehouse production days Client meetings when applicable Event installations Event breakdowns Corporate events and brand activations Team members are expected to maintain a clean, professional, and polished appearance that reflects our company standards and brand image. Schedule & Availability This is not a traditional Monday through Friday position. Our typical warehouse schedule is Tuesday through Friday, but events may take place on weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on client needs. Weekend availability is required. Private events often take place on weekends, while corporate events, brand activations, and company events may occur during the week. Overtime may be required during busy production periods, event weeks, and major installations. Team members must be available to stay until projects are completed. This position is not ideal for someone seeking a fixed schedule, limited availability, or a second job that prevents them from staying when event production requires additional time.
