Hera Technologies, LLC is seeking a highly motivated Shipping & Receiving Production Assistant to join our team working in a hands-on, collaborative environment. The individual will be responsible for driving multiple projects of varying complexities throughout the entire project life cycle (raw material through shipping), be the conduit for production‐related communications between shop floor and management regarding schedule, inventory, and quality issues. This role will take full ownership of related activities performed by multi‐disciplined cross‐functional teams. Key Responsibilities Meet daily shipping goals as defined by the Production Manager. Review travelers to confirm all prior operations are complete before starting work; escalate any discrepancies for direction. Log into the workstation system prior to starting jobs and ensure accurate log-out and traveler completion at job close. Inspect parts for quality issues (e.g., burrs, chips, porosity, cosmetic defects) per work instructions and drawings. Clean, mark, and package parts according to customer specifications, ensuring proper protection and labeling. Complete and maintain accurate documentation, including travelers and daily job reporting. Utilize ERP systems (e.g., JobBoss, Epicor) relevant to shipping and inventory functions. Maintain department cleanliness, organization, and safety standards (5S); follow all health, safety, and environmental guidelines. Monitor and report low shipping supplies; support material receiving as needed. Maintain organized inventory, including labeling, tracking levels, and managing shelf-life items. Stage materials throughout the shop to support production flow. Support cross-functional operations as needed (e.g., loading ovens, expediting jobs, organizing pallets, loading/unloading trucks). Operate company vehicles for pickups/deliveries when authorized. Assist on the shop floor with tasks such as part marking or other production support activities. Ensure jobs are completed accurately through all required steps; identify and resolve issues proactively. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and promote a culture of accountability, discipline, and excellence Required Qualifications Must have at least 2 years of Manufacturing production control experience. within a manufacturing job‐shop environment, preferably in aerospace. Ability to prioritize and react to project changes. Ability to read and understand blueprints and notes, measurement tools such as calipers, tape measure and scales. Experience in planning, organization, and problem‐solving skills. PC skills experience to navigate in
  • Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and ERP systems.
Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written English. Ability to learn to perform cross-functional operations.
Preferred Requirements:
Working knowledge of Job Boss or other ERP software is preferred. Production and inventory control experience (expediting and material handling) would be a plus. Work Environment The incumbent will spend a portion of the day on their feet and must follow strict safety rules. They wear safety glasses to protect their eyes from airborne debris. Loud noise from machinery requires use of hearing protectors. They wear hard toe shoes or boots to protect their feet from potentially dropped objects.
