00 per hour Position Summary The Print Pressman is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining printing presses used to decorate thin-wall plastic packaging products produced through injection molding. This role ensures printed containers meet quality, color, and production standards while maintaining efficiency and minimizing waste. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate printing presses used to decorate plastic containers, lids, and packaging components. Prepare printing plates, inks, and materials according to job specifications and production schedules. Adjust press settings, including pressure, speed, ink flow, and registration, to achieve proper print quality. Perform color matching and monitor color consistency throughout production runs. Inspect printed parts for defects such as smearing, misalignment, incomplete prints, or color inconsistencies. Perform routine quality checks and document results according to company quality standards and food packaging regulations. Troubleshoot press issues, including ink flow problems, plate alignment, and mechanical adjustments. Work closely with injection molding and packaging teams to ensure the proper handling of printed containers. Maintain press equipment through cleaning, lubrication, and minor preventive maintenance. Record production data, including quantities produced, downtime, and material usage. Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with GMP and safety requirements. Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 2 years of experience operating printing presses, preferably in plastic packaging or container decoration. Experience with offset, dry-offset, or pad-printing presses preferred. Knowledge of color matching, ink viscosity, and print registration. Ability to read work orders, job specifications, and production schedules. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot printing equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Basic math skills for measurements, color ratios, and production counts. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods. Preferred Qualifications Experience printing on thin-wall, injection-molded containers used for food packaging. Familiarity with GMP and food-grade manufacturing environments. Experience working in high-volume production environments. Work Environment Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, inks, and moving equipment. Requires standing for extended periods and frequent hand coordination. Overtime and weekend work may be required based on production demands.
