Production Worker Job Description The Production Worker supports general forge and metal production activities in a heavy manufacturing environment. This role involves handling metal materials, performing general labor tasks, assisting with forging operations, and maintaining quality standards through inspection and measurement. The position requires the ability to work safely in a hot environment and to perform frequent heavy lifting throughout the shift. Responsibilities Perform general production and forge-related tasks in a heavy manufacturing setting. Handle and move metal materials, including frequent heavy lifting as part of daily duties. Operate basic hand tools, power tools, and production equipment safely and efficiently. Use a tape measure and other measuring tools to verify dimensions and ensure products meet specifications. Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of parts to maintain quality standards. Follow established production processes, work instructions, and safety procedures at all times. Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safe and efficient operations. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines. Identify and report any equipment issues, quality concerns, or safety hazards promptly. Essential Skills Experience in general production or general labor in a manufacturing environment. Ability to perform frequent heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks. Comfort working in a hot environment around metals and forge operations. Proficiency using a tape measure to take accurate measurements. Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in production. Attention to detail for inspection and quality checks. Ability to follow safety procedures and production instructions reliably. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior experience in heavy manufacturing or metalworking environments. Familiarity with inspection processes and basic quality control practices. Strong work ethic and reliability in meeting production schedules. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Paramount, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.95/hr.
