Job Description

Job Summary Scotts Food Products has made premium seasonings, marinades, and specialty oils in Paramount for 50 years, and our products sit in butcher counters and retailers across the country. We are adding Production Workers to the team that blend, fill, label, and pack those products every day. This is hands-on work on a food production line. The right candidate shows up on time and ready to move, follows a recipe and a procedure exactly the same way every time, keeps their station clean without being asked, and speaks up the moment something looks off. Prior experience in a food plant or manufacturing environment is required, and familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices is a strong plus. Areas of responsibility Weigh, measure, and blend dry seasonings and liquid marinades and oils according to batch formulas and production orders Set up, operate, and clear filling, capping, labeling, and date-coding equipment on the production line Hand-pack finished product into cases, build and wrap pallets, and stage finished goods for shipment Complete batch records, weight checks, and line paperwork accurately and legibly at the time the work is done Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices, including hand washing, hairnets and PPE, and the facility's hygiene and dress code Follow allergen control procedures, including changeover cleaning between products containing soy or sesame and products that do not Perform sanitation of equipment, tools, and work areas at product changeovers and end of shift using approved chemicals and procedures Check labels, lot codes, fill weights, and cap torque against specifications and pull product that does not meet them Report quality, food safety, and equipment problems to the lead or Plant Manager immediately Receive incoming ingredients and packaging, verify against purchase orders, and put stock away with correct rotation Follow all safety rules, including lockout and tagout, machine guarding, and safe lifting practices Support audit readiness by keeping the work area organized, labeled, and clean at all times Perform other production, warehouse, and sanitation tasks as assigned Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in food production, food manufacturing, or a similar manufacturing or warehouse environment Ability to read and follow written batch formulas, procedures, and production orders in English Basic math skills for weighing ingredients, counting cases, and completing production records Reliable attendance and punctuality Ability to work as part of a small team and take direction from a lead or manager Physical requirements Stand and walk on concrete floors for the full shift Regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds; occasionally move heavier containers with a pallet jack or team lift Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and repetitive hand motion Work around spices, dry ingredient dust, cleaning chemicals, and moderate equipment noise Preferred Bilingual in English and Spanish Experience working under an SQF, HACCP, or similar food safety program Forklift or electric pallet jack certification Experience with liquid filling, capping, or labeling equipment Scotts is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
