This position is responsible for operating food-grade manufacturing equipment, preparing ingredients, producing authentic Jamaican patties, maintaining production standards, and ensuring compliance with all food safety and sanitation requirements. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and committed to producing a high-quality product. Responsibilities Operate food production equipment, including mixers, sheeters, and packaging equipment Prepare and portion ingredients according to company recipes and specifications Monitor product quality, consistency, and production output Follow daily production schedules and meet production goals Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment Perform equipment cleaning and basic maintenance procedures Follow all food safety, GMP, HACCP, and company policies Accurately complete production logs and documentation Assist with packaging, labeling, and inventory as needed Work safely and efficiently as part of a team Qualifications Previous food manufacturing, bakery, production, or warehouse experience preferred Ability to lift up to 35 pounds safely Ability to stand for extended periods Strong attention to detail and quality control Reliable transportation and consistent attendance Ability to work in a refrigerated and fast-paced production environment Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus Requirements Must follow all food safety and sanitation procedures Must wear required PPE, including hairnets and aprons Must maintain professional workplace conduct No cell phone use during production hours Must be able to work independently and as part of a team Aquire a food handler's card within a week Compensation Competitive hourly pay based on experience Opportunities for advancement Stable, year-round employment About Us For over 31 years, Hilltop Jamaica Restaurant & Lounge and Mama's Patties have proudly served authentic Jamaican food throughout Southern California.
