Job Description

Job Summary The Production Operator plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of various production machinery within the construction supply industry. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machines such as assembly/stitching machines, and hardware insertion/fastening machines to produce high-quality components that meet precise specifications. The operator will monitor machine performance, perform routine adjustments, and conduct quality checks using measuring tools like tape measures and scales, to ensure product accuracy and consistency. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with team members to maintain smooth assembly line operations and adhering to safety protocols when handling production/warehouse equipment. Ultimately, the Production operator contributes to meeting production targets while upholding the highest standards of safety and quality in the manufacturing process. Responsibilities Set up and operate production machinery including but not limited to; assembly/stitching, and hardware insertion/fastening machines according to job specifications. Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance. Use precision measuring instruments such as tape measures and scales, to inspect product and ensure they meet quality standards. Deburr and finish components to remove imperfections and prepare them for the next stage of production. Collaborate with assembly line workers to maintain continuous workflow and meet daily production goals. Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience operating machinery in a manufacturing or production environment. Basic knowledge of machine setup, operations, and maintenance. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Familiarity with safety standards and procedures related to machine operation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in machine operation or industrial equipment handling. Knowledge of deburring techniques and use of precision measuring tools like micrometers. Previous experience in a construction supply manufacturing setting. Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Familiarity with working in a fast-paced setting such as e-commerce fulfillment is a plus.

The required skills such as operating Assembly/Stitching, and hardware insertion/fastening machines are essential for daily production tasks, enabling the operator to efficiently produce components that meet quality standards. Proficiency with assembly line processes ensures smooth coordination with other team members to maintain consistent workflow. Handling overhead cranes and clamp trucks safely is critical for moving heavy materials and preventing workplace injuries. Using precision tools like micrometers allows the operator to perform accurate quality inspections and adjustments, ensuring product specifications are met. Additionally, skills in deburring and machine maintenance help maintain equipment longevity and product finish quality, contributing to overall operational excellence.
