Job Description JOB Title :

Manufacturing Associate I - 1st Shift

Location :

Chicago, IL

Operate production equipment and machinery according to training and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Perform general labor and production tasks as needed.

Assist with production from the raw-material stage through final packaging.

Monitor products throughout the production process and report quality issues to supervisors.

Perform equipment start-up and shutdown procedures.

Maintain accurate production and material counts.

Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.

Keep the production area clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.

Perform basic equipment cleaning, adjustments, and maintenance tasks.

Participate in cross-training for different production positions.

Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and Hazard Communication procedures.

Attend safety meetings and participate in safety audits.

Train new laborers and manufacturing associates when assigned.

Perform other general labor duties based on production needs.

Required Qualifications

Manufacturing, warehouse, production, general labor, or machine operation experience required.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Ability to follow SOPs and safety procedures.

Strong attention to detail.

Basic math skills.

Ability to multitask and monitor multiple processes.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Ability to work in a physically demanding plant environment.

Ability to stand for extended periods.

Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.

Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, reach, climb, and walk as required.

Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

Machine operating experience.

Forklift experience.

Chemical manufacturing or experience working with chemicals.

Experience reading and following SOPs.

Production or packaging experience.

Familiarity with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.

Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Work Environment

Manufacturing/plant environment.

Physically demanding work.

Extended periods of standing and walking.

Repetitive work.

Must be able to safely lift up to 70 lbs.

Must use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
