Production Worker Job Description Join our team at a syrup flavoring plant where you will play a crucial role in the bottling line. You will be responsible for inspecting bottles for correct labels, overflow of syrup, leaks, and ensuring proper capping and boxing. Your day will involve handling both glass and plastic bottles and lifting boxes that may weigh up to 75 pounds. Responsibilities Inspect bottles for correct labels, syrup overflow, leaks, and proper capping. Handle glass and plastic bottles during the bottling process. Lift and move boxes of full and empty bottles weighing up to 75 pounds. Ensure quality control and adhere to good manufacturing practices (GMP) and good documentation practices (GDP). Contribute to the production and packaging processes. Essential Skills Experience in quality control and inspection. Understanding of GMP, GDP, and production processes. Ability to lift at least 50 pounds. Minimum of 1 year of experience in food manufacturing, with preference for 2 years. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in production and packaging. Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems is a plus. Previous experience in a similar production environment is beneficial. Why Work Here? The environment is room temperature with safety measures such as hair and beard nets and safety glasses. The facility operates with 4 production lines, each having 4-10 workers per line. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Leandro, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
