Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Embroidery & Apparel Production Assistant. Previous embroidery or apparel-decoration experience is preferred, but not required. Paid, hands-on training will be provided. This is a part-time, hands-on production position. The employee will help complete embroidery and custom-apparel orders while maintaining our quality standards and keeping the production area organized. Responsibilities Prepare and hoop garments for embroidery Assist with operating and monitoring commercial embroidery equipment Load garments, embroidery designs, and thread colors Watch for thread breaks, placement errors, and other production issues Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality Trim threads, fold garments, and prepare completed orders Read and follow production worksheets and work orders Count, package, and label customer orders Receive and organize incoming apparel shipments Clean and organize equipment, supplies, and production areas Perform basic equipment cleaning and maintenance after training Assist with DTF printing, heat pressing, and vinyl application Help with shipping, inventory, and other production duties as needed Qualifications Embroidery or apparel-decoration experience preferred, but not required Related experience with sewing, crafting, machinery, printing, production, or fulfillment is a plus Strong attention to detail Reliable and punctual Willing to learn and accept feedback Able to follow written and verbal instructions Comfortable performing repetitive, hands-on production work Able to stay organized and manage multiple orders Positive attitude and ability to work well with others Able to stand for extended periods Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation Dependable transportation to the San Luis Obispo work location Position Details Part-time position Monday through Thursday Approximately 20-32 hours per week Pay range: $19.00-$21.00 per hour Paid hands-on training Employee discounts Performance-based bonuses Opportunities to learn additional apparel-decoration methods and advance as skills develop
