Job Description

Established in 1992, Expertech's core competency is newly manufactured and refurbished thermal processing systems (diffusion furnaces) for the semiconductor industry. We also provide field service, repair parts and upgrades for a wide range of thermal systems manufactured by Expertech and other OEM suppliers. We are seeking staff additions with a flexible and adaptable attitude. The successful candidates will possess a solid work ethic, accountability and willingness to cross train in all departments. Applicants with
DIFFUSION FURNACE
EXPERIENCE or
SOLAR THIN FILM EQUIPMENT EXPERIENCE
will be called first. Under limited supervision, performs moderately complex electronic technical functions related to the support of development engineering activities such as test, checkout, fabrication, modification and assembly of electronics and electro-mechanical systems, cleaning restoration and reclamation of used or pre-existing components. Works from limited documentation, schematics, diagrams, notes, prints and layouts. Applications may include analog, digital and/or video type circuits and logic systems. Conducts engineering/development tests and detailed experimental testing to collect design data or otherwise assist in general research work. Assists in prototype fabrication and assembly, layout and construction of temporary breadboard circuitry for special evaluations of design tests. Performs layout, construction, trouble-shooting and repair of standard laboratory and test equipment and apparatus. Utilizes normal and specialized developmental test or diagnostic equipment including oscilloscope, VOM, DVM, signal generators and similar test apparatus. Normally assigned areas such as development, engineering, test equipment design or the like. Field work is also required, as we serve a global customer base for both service and installation of Diffusion Furnaces.
