Description Job Description Rate Pay:

$22.77 per hour (Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7:00pm and 11:59pm. Additional $2.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00am-4:59am)

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Use automated equipment to manufacture (mix, grind, weigh & pellet) various types of feed: then determine what bin the feed will be placed in. Keep accurate production records, batch logs, pellet mill activity logs, micro-ingredient inventory, down time logs, etc. Take feed samples to ensure good quality. Routine maintenance of pelleting and cooling equipment. Downloading of plant computer system as required. Perform general housekeeping of production area to meet OSHA standards and maintain a minimum dust level, as well as a clean working environment. Maintaining adequate levels of product in major and micro bins. Communicate with dispatcher to meet delivery needs. Assist in training of new employees. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Must have good interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) Knowledge of computers is desirable. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to learn to operate forklift. Must be able to perform basic math calculations. Must be able to work with minimal supervision being able to learn new concepts and procedures quickly. Must be able to work flexible, rotating shifts to include weekends.
