Job Description

Hello! We are Artefex Art, a manufacturing company based right here in Willits. We specialize in producing professional, archival art substrates—including our aluminum composite material (ACM) and specialized copper panels—for artists worldwide. We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Production & Shipping Assistant to join our team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This is a unique, hands-on role where you will divide your time between fulfilling daily logistics and directly contributing to the creative manufacturing process. We are growing very quickly and have many opportunities for profesional growth within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipping & Logistics:
Manage daily outbound orders, securely package professional art panels for transit, build pallets for freight shipments, and keep inventory organized.
Production Support:
Assist in the hands-on manufacturing assembly of panels, physical substrate mounting, and archival priming workflows.
Technical & Digital Tasks:
Handle basic computer work, including processing shipping labels, digital order management, and potentially utilizing design or CAD software.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Experience:
Previous experience in a shipping, fulfillment, production, or manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
Skills:
Comfortable working with your hands, operating warehouse tools, and ensuring fragile items are packed securely.
Tech Savvy:
Strong basic computer skills are a must. Experience with digital shipping platforms, graphic design, or CAD is a major plus (though we are completely willing to train the right candidate).
Work Ethic:
Detail-oriented, highly quality-focused, and able to work efficiently to meet daily shipping deadlines.
Schedule & Growth:
This position starts at part-time (approximately 25 hours per week) with a strong path to transition into a full-time (40 hours per week) role as our production and gallery line operations continue to expand.
