Vinyl Graphics Specialist
DESCRIPTION
North American Signs is looking for a Vinyl Graphics team member to produce high-quality vinyl graphics and printed signage. This role involves preparing files and materials, operating production equipment, finishing graphics, checking quality, and helping keep projects on schedule. This is a hands-on production role in a fast-paced sign shop environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, organized, and committed to producing accurate, high-quality work.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Vinyl Graphics team member will: Operate vinyl plotters, laminators, printers, and related production equipment. Weed, mask, trim, laminate, and prepare vinyl graphics. Set up production files and materials for accurate output. Review work orders, artwork, sizing, materials, and production details before starting jobs. Monitor print quality and machine performance during production. Inspect completed graphics to make sure they meet company standards. Keep vinyl inventory, materials, and the production workspace organized. Assist with machine cleaning, maintenance, and routine equipment upkeep. Troubleshoot minor production or equipment issues and communicate concerns to management. Help maintain production schedules and prioritize jobs to meet deadlines. Work with design, sales, and production teams to keep projects moving smoothly. Package completed graphics for shipping, delivery, or installation teams. Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe work area. Support process improvements, equipment evaluations, and production efficiency efforts. Assist with other shop production tasks as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a production shop environment. This person should be able to stay organized, communicate clearly, and take pride in producing clean, accurate work.

EDUCATION
Qualified candidates should have: Previous sign shop, print production, or vinyl graphics experience preferred. 2 years of vinyl graphics experience preferred. Experience using plotters, laminators, or RIP software highly preferred. Large-format printer experience is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to read and interpret work orders, measurements, and production specifications. Basic computer skills. Familiarity with graphic production software preferred. Strong organization and time management skills. Good communication and follow-through abilities. Ability to work efficiently in a team environment. Mechanical ability and willingness to learn new equipment and production processes.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This role may require sitting, standing, walking, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, and using hands to handle tools, materials, and equipment. The position may also require lifting or moving up to 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally. This position works primarily in a production shop environment with exposure to printers, laminators, cutting equipment, and production materials.
