WELDER HELPER
Location:
Fountain, CO Pay:
$21.00/hour - 1st Shift | $23.10/hour - 2nd
Shift Job Type:
Full-Time Looking to get your foot in the door in welding and metal fabrication? We're hiring Welder Helpers to work alongside experienced welders in a hands-on manufacturing environment. This is a great opportunity for someone with basic welding, fabrication, mechanical, or shop experience who wants to build their skills and gain valuable experience in the welding industry. You'll help keep welding and fabrication projects moving by preparing materials, assisting with fabrication, and handling supporting shop work.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Assist welders with metal fabrication and weld preparation Saw, cut, and hand-grind material for proper weld fit-up Help fabricate pipe, vessels, production hardware, tooling, fixtures, and molds from drawings Prepare components so welders can complete quality welds efficiently Perform drilling, tapping, sawing, polishing, and steel cutting/burning Assist with rolling rings and other components for manufacturing projects Help set up, rig, and perform hydro testing on pipe Support the machine shop and production areas as workloads require Learn additional welding and fabrication skills through on-the-job training Follow shop safety procedures and properly use required
PPE WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Some previous exposure to welding, fabrication, metalworking, or a manufacturing/shop environment preferred Experience with grinders, saws, drills, hand tools, or other fabrication equipment is a plus Mechanically inclined and comfortable working with your hands Willingness to learn welding and fabrication processes Dependable with a stable work history Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environment Ability to provide your own steel-toe shoes; other required PPE is provided
BUILD YOUR WELDING EXPERIENCE
You don't need to be an experienced production welder to qualify.
