Job Description

Purpose:
Perform all tasks involved in the production of JBC Technologies, Inc. products. This includes laminating, slitting, die-cutting and assembly work with various materials including foams, rubbers, metals, graphite, cork-fibers, and fiberglass. Follow standard work methods and practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prioritizes safety Sets-up and operates any shop machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines Reads and interprets blueprints, drawings, Job Orders, routers and diagrams to correctly set up dies and equipment Adheres to operating procedures/instructions Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks per specification to run job orders accurately and maximize productivity Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisors Communicates process and quality improvements Maintains a clean and safe workstation; follow shop 5S system Embraces a team attitude that aligns with JBC's Core Values Accurately records labor and material usage in ERP system Follows all JBC policies and procedures Other responsibilities as assigned by management
Education and Experience:
High school diploma/GED or equivalent 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing/shipping environment Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, expectations, and procedures in manufacturing
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to read and perform basic math skills, including counting Ability to use various tools including tape measure, dial caliper, and other hand tools Must have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken Basic reading skills for understanding drawings, Job Orders, and specs Ability to follow directions Strong manual dexterity
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None Physical Demands:
Light to moderate physical effort required on a constant basis Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility for an entire shift Employees subject to random drug and alcohol testing
Personal Protective Equipment:
Protective equipment not required but available Protective equipment, such as gloves, required for specific tasks
Work Schedule:
Normal Schedule - 1st Shift - Monday through Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm Overtime scheduled as needed and may be mandatory on
Fridays and Saturdays Work Environment:
Work performed in a plant/production environment Contains any number of elements including but not limited to fiberglass/insulation material, dust, fumes, and noise. Must be able to work as part of a team or independently with limited supervision
