In this vital role, you will operate and oversee brake machines to shape and form sheet metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure that all fabricated parts meet strict quality standards and specifications, contributing to the overall success of our production process. Responsibilities Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal according to detailed blueprints and technical drawings Read and interpret complex blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications to determine proper tooling and machine settings Adjust machine parameters using CNC programming techniques to achieve precise bends and angles Conduct quality inspections utilizing calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances Perform routine maintenance on brake equipment, including tooling changes, calibration, and troubleshooting mechanical issues Collaborate with team members on fabrication projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times Document production data, inspection results, and machine adjustments accurately for quality control records Qualifications Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or fabrication environment Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in CNC laser cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe, plasma cutting, electrical discharge machining (EDM), stamping presses, and other machining tools Ability to read complex blueprints and technical drawings with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards Skilled in using hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments for quality inspection Basic math skills essential for calculating dimensions, angles, and material requirements Knowledge of welding, sheet metal fabrication, tooling setup, assembly processes, and safety procedures including crane operation is a plus Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing setting while maintaining high-quality standards Join our team as a Brake Operator if you're eager to contribute your machining expertise in a vibrant environment that values precision craftsmanship.
