We are currently seeking an experienced Manufacturing Specialist / CNC Programmer.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop tooling and fixtures for new products and processes and work with tooling vendors to supply such designs. Identify and implement solutions for issues relating to safety, quality, productivity, and cost reductions. Programming of CNC Mills and Lathes necessary to produce diverse products. Prioritize production efficiency by both increasing machining productivity and reducing non-value-added operator time. Develop innovative solutions to complex engineering and manufacturing production problems through identification and implementation of advanced manufacturing processes including conducting process analysis, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials, conferring with suppliers, and soliciting observations from the operators/production technicians. Creation of process sheets/routers. Responsible for making sure that all contractual aspects of the production process are incorporated into the process plan. Ensuring that all required gages, fixtures, etc. are called out in the process plan and are available for use by jobs prior to start of order. Review of existing process sheets for purposes of Continuous Improvement in quality and productivity. Implementation of all Quality & Production Improvements into process plans. Assisting Sales in quoting new projects. Meet schedules and maintain quality standards. Any other duties as assigned by your Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of related manufacturing production experience required. Aerospace industry experience, working with tight tolerances, g-code programming, and blueprint reading, preferred. Extensive CNC Turning and Milling Programming experience required, with a proven track record of machining success. Must have the ability to review a customer print, determine machining processes, estimate set-up, and process times, select the machine tools and subcontracts that will be necessary to complete the part. Must be proficient in G-Code programming. Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances is required. Must have CAD experience. Working knowledge of SolidWorks is required. Experience with Fanuc, Seiki and OSP controls is helpful, but not required. Must possess strong mechanical aptitude, ability to use basic measuring tools, and hands-on capabilities to work on projects without supervision. Effective communication/interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.
Strong computer-based applications skills:
Microsoft Office and ERP experience. Lean experience preferred. Proficient working with your hands. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or similar, is helpful but not required.
