Position Summary IRISS, Inc. is seeking a Turret Punch Press Set-Up & Operator to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and assisting with the maintenance of turret punch press equipment used to produce sheet metal components. The operator will follow production schedules, work instructions, blueprints, and quality requirements to produce accurate, consistent parts in a safe and efficient manner. Responsibilities Follow all company safety policies and procedures and help maintain safe work practices in the assigned area. Set up and operate the turret punch press to produce parts according to production requirements. Load and handle materials safely and appropriately for production. Assist with routine maintenance of the turret punch press and associated equipment. Sharpen, inspect, and maintain tooling as required. Follow production schedules, work instructions, blueprints, and specifications. Inspect and verify parts to ensure conformance to required dimensions, specifications, and quality standards. Accurately record production data and required process information. Identify and communicate production, equipment, or quality issues to the appropriate lead or manager. Coordinate with other manufacturing functions as needed to support production flow. Recommend improvements to production methods, equipment performance, product quality, and process efficiency. Maintain a clean and organized work area; keep tools, materials, samples, and scrap in proper locations. Use applicable hand tools, measuring instruments, material-handling equipment, and production equipment safely. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Cross-train in other manufacturing processes and shop-related duties as needed. Qualifications Prior experience setting up, operating, and/or maintaining turret punch press equipment preferred. Previous sheet metal fabrication or manufacturing experience preferred. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and production documentation. Ability to use precision measuring instruments and verify parts against specifications. Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and manufacturing equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and workplace safety. Positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and willingness to learn and cross-train. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and/or assist with items weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 25 pounds frequently. Ability to operate a forklift and material-handling equipment when properly trained and authorized. Ability to read production documentation and blueprints, evaluate parts, and use precision measuring instruments. Ability to monitor machine operation and recognize changes that may require corrective action. Ability to communicate effectively and work around manufacturing equipment for extended periods. Weekend Shift (DAY) is from Friday to Sunday, 630am - 630pm Weekend Shift (NIGHT) is from Friday to Sunday, 630pm - 630am
