Job Title:
General Production Worker Job Description The General Production Worker supports daily warehouse and manufacturing operations by moving, packaging, and preparing products and materials for shipment. This role focuses on helping box and organize items, assisting with shipping and receiving activities, and ensuring all products are ready for a planned move to a new market location. The position requires strong attention to safety and quality, as well as the ability to perform physical, repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Move and box items to prepare the warehouse for relocation to the Atlanta Market. Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including loading, unloading, and organizing products and materials. Package finished products securely and accurately to prepare items for shipment. Move materials and products throughout the production area as directed. Perform general labor and production support duties to assist various departments as needed. Operate basic production and material handling equipment, as appropriate and trained. Use hand tools and equipment safely while performing production and packaging tasks. Inspect products and materials for basic quality issues and report any defects or concerns. Follow written and verbal work instructions and complete repetitive tasks consistently. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area at all times. Adhere to all quality, safety, and production standards and procedures. Collaborate with team members and support coworkers to meet production goals. Demonstrate reliable attendance and a strong work ethic throughout the project duration. Essential Skills Previous manufacturing, production, assembly, or warehouse experience preferred. Experience with general labor tasks such as lifting, moving, and material handling preferred. Ability to follow work instructions and perform repetitive tasks accurately and consistently. Comfort working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical work throughout the shift. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Basic experience with production, assembly, or general production work. Capability to use hand tools safely and effectively. Ability to assist with machine operation or machine operating tasks as needed. Attention to safety and willingness to follow all safety and quality guidelines. Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior experience in a warehouse environment is beneficial. Experience with inspection tasks or basic quality checks is a plus. Comfort using hand tools and working around production machinery. Willingness to work occasional Fridays to achieve close to 40+ hours when needed. Flexibility to support different production and warehouse tasks as priorities shift. Interest in gaining hands-on manufacturing and production experience. Why Work Here? Occasional Fridays may be required to reach approximately 40 or more hours in a week, depending on production needs. The role involves standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing physical, repetitive tasks throughout the shift. You will work around production equipment, materials, and hand tools, following established safety and quality procedures in a structured, fast-paced setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Fort Lauderdale, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
