About the
Role:
The Trim Brake Operator is responsible for forming and shaping metal trim components used in pre-engineered steel building systems. This role operates brake press equipment to bend, cut, and fabricate trim pieces to exact specifications. Working in the shop alongside fabrication and sheet metal teams, this position focuses on producing high-quality trim that supports roofing, siding, and finishing components. The ideal candidate will take pride in precision, consistency, and maintaining production efficiency.
What You'll Do:
Operate trim brake and press brake machinery to form metal trim components Read and follow work orders, drawings, and specifications Measure and bend metal accurately to required dimensions and angles Inspect finished trim pieces for quality and accuracy Stage and organize materials to support production flow Perform basic machine checks and assist with routine maintenance Work closely with production teams to meet daily output goals Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
What We're Looking For:
Experience in manufacturing, sheet metal, or steel production environments Ability to read a tape measure and follow production specifications Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with machinery Attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented shop environment Dependable, safety-focused, and willing to learn
Preferred Experience:
Experience operating brake press or trim brake equipment Background in metal roofing or building materials manufacturing Forklift experience or certification Familiarity with OSHA safety standards in a manufacturing setting
