Brake Press Operating Experiencesalary:

$18 - $22 per hourshift: Firstwork hours: 7 AM - 4

PMeducation:

High SchoolResponsibilities Set up and operate CNC and/or manual press brakes to bend, punch, notch, or straighten metal plates, sheets, or structural shapes as specified by blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders.

Read and interpret blueprints, schewing, and specifications to determine appropriate machine settings, tooling, and sequence of operations.

Select and install appropriate dies, punches, and other tooling according to material type, thickness, and desired bend angle.

Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, protractors, and tape measures to ensure parts meet tolerance requirements.

Adjust machine controls and settings to maintain consistent production quality and efficiency.

Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or deviations from specifications and make necessary adjustments.

Perform routine maintenance on press brake machinery, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs, to ensure optimal performance.

Identify and report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality issues to the supervisor.
