Job Description

Are you highly organized, computer-savvy, and looking for a role with a clear path for professional growth? Our firm is representing a thriving manufacturing organization that is currently expanding its Planning and Production team. We are seeking a Production Planning Assistant to serve as a critical link between Sales and the Shop Floor. While this is an entry-level role where we will provide full training on our specialized ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system, it is much more than "just data entry." You will be supporting a high-volume planning group that handles the lifeblood of the company: work orders and new product quotes.
Key Responsibilities:
Work Order Generation:
Utilize the company's ERP software to create and manage production work orders, ensuring the shop floor has exactly what they need to stay on schedule.
Quoting Support:
Assist the Sales and Planning groups by managing a high volume of email communication to gather data for new product quotes.
Administrative Coordination:
Maintain accurate digital records and ensure all production data is entered with 100% accuracy.
Process Growth:
As you master the ERP system and the quoting process, you will have the opportunity to take on more complex planning responsibilities within the group.
Requirements:
Computer Literacy:
You must be highly proficient with technology and comfortable learning new, complex software systems.
Microsoft Suite Expertise:
Strong working knowledge of Outlook (for high-volume email), Excel , and Word is essential. The "Reliability"
Factor:
Standard hours are 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, but you must be willing to work overtime as needed, including occasional half-day Saturdays to meet production goals.
Communication Skills:
Professional verbal and written communication is required for interacting with Sales, Planning, and Production teams.
Preferred Experience:
Previous experience using an ERP system (such as SAP, Oracle, JobBOSS, or similar) is a significant plus, but we are willing to train the right person with strong mechanical/technical aptitude. Why Apply?
Comprehensive Training:
We will teach you the technical side of production planning from the ground up.
Stable Industry:
Work for a growing company with a consistent workload and a supportive team environment.
Career Trajectory:
This role is designed for someone who wants to grow. As our production volume increases, so does the opportunity for you to advance within the Planning department.
Compensation / Pay
Rate (Up to): $19.50
