This role is ideal for someone with hands-on purchasing and inventory management experience in manufacturing, fabrication, machining, industrial supply, hydraulics, hoses/fittings, pneumatics, or mechanical production environments. The ideal candidate understands how to keep production moving by managing inventory levels, sourcing industrial components, coordinating with vendors, and supporting manufacturing operations in a deadline-driven environment. ERP experience is required. SAP experience is a plus, but candidates with experience using other ERP/MRP systems are encouraged to apply. Key ResponsibilitiesPurchasing & Procurement Source and purchase industrial and manufacturing materials for production Procure components including: hoses fittings pneumatics valves electrical/mechanical parts hardware raw materials fabrication supplies Manage purchase orders, vendor communication, pricing, and lead times Build and maintain strong supplier relationships Identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative sourcing options Inventory & Material Control Monitor inventory levels and maintain reorder points Prevent production shortages and track material availability Coordinate material flow between purchasing, warehouse, and production Maintain accurate inventory records and purchasing documentation Support cycle counts and inventory accuracy initiatives Manufacturing Coordination Work closely with production, warehouse, engineering, and accounting teams Support manufacturing operations including CNC machining, fabrication, welding, and assembly departments Coordinate internally manufactured items and material availability Help ensure production schedules stay on track ERP & Reporting Process purchasing transactions and maintain ERP records Generate inventory and purchasing reports using Excel and ERP systems Track materials, purchase orders, and supplier information Maintain organized and accurate data within company systems Requirements 3+ years of purchasing experience in: manufacturing fabrication industrial supply machining mechanical production environments Strong inventory management and material tracking experience Experience purchasing industrial or mechanical components ERP system experience required SAP experience is a plus, not required Strong Microsoft Excel skills required spreadsheets inventory tracking reporting data management VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and pivot tables are a plus Bilingual English/Spanish required Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Preferred Backgrounds Candidates with experience in the following industries are highly encouraged to apply: Industrial manufacturing Metal fabrication CNC machining Hose & fittings distribution Hydraulics Pneumatics Mechanical assembly Industrial equipment Automation or controls Compensation & Benefits $58,000
