LLC. is a highly skilled, small custom metal fabrication company located in Oakland Park, Florida. We are currently seeking a production assistant/ \"Shop Hand\" to join our team! In this role, you will assist the fabricator/welder in moving material, cutting, pre and post material preparation in the process of fabrication of the product. You must be able to adhere to a strict production schedule while always prioritizing safety. Responsibilities Accurately understand a tape measure. Adhere to a strict production schedule. Look over products after production to ensure consistency and quality. Time management and communication Proper handling of all material raw and finished. Strong organization skills within the workplace and on job site. Utilizing large trucks and trailers for transport. CDL is a plus but not required. Prepping and surface conditioning of material(s) Precision cutting of steel, stainless steel and aluminum with specialize equipment (band saw, shear, torch). Ability to utilize and operate machinery such as a forklift. Aiding in installation processes Must be able to lift 80+ lbs. Must clear a level II background check Must be an able to pass a drug test at random. Qualifications Previous experience in the construction/manufacturing field is a plus but not required. Experience operating heavy machinery. Excellent manual dexterity and vision Highly detail-oriented with accuracy Strong Communication Skills. Creative problem solving. Strong organizational skills. Safety awareness Must be able to work in extreme conditions Valid Driver's License Strong personable skills Strong team player Desire for self-improvement and growth Self-motivated and integrity Punctuality General knowledge of hand tools, power tools and certain fabrication equipment Open minded and willingness to take direction. Must be willing to work Saturdays and on very rare occasion, Sunday.
