Department:
All Openings Assists the Supervisor in the production of high-quality aircraft parts & subassemblies following Piper Drawings, Process Specifications (PPS) and other manufacturing instructions. Assists in meeting or exceeding planned production and delivery schedules while maximizing company resources to achieve company goals.Essential Job Functions:
Performs or assists the Supervisor in the following tasks: Hang parts and load baskets for cleaning operations. Operate part washing equipment. Process parts through chem film tank line. Apply rust inhibitor to parts as specified. Properly identify parts using blueprints. Mask or plug areas on simple parts that are not to be coated as specified on blueprints. Maintain the departments compliance with Piper QAM/QIM and FAA requirements. Rework discrepancies as necessary. Participate in continuous improvement efforts to improve the teams performance including schedule delivery, reduction of late work, elimination of quality defects & scrap, increasing productivity and generating cost reductions. Partner with senior teammates within career path to receive and share practical knowledge for proper training to perform necessary job functions and requirements in order to attain satisfactory levels of performance and production effectivity. Adhere and maintain all departmental compliance requirements such as Safety, Environmental Protection, FOD and Tool Control, 5S and other assigned programs. Perform duties as assigned by supervision. 1 3 years of experience Ability to work scheduled shift and hours, including overtime Ability to work with minimal supervision Use of hand and power tools as required Follow all safety procedures Ability to demonstrate sound judgement and effective communication skills (written and verbal). Adhere to Piper Drawings, Process Specifications (PPS) and other manufacturing instructions Mental Demands Ability to foster collaborative relationships, to work well under pressure, to organize and synthesize new information, and prioritize tasks. Works primarily inside and may occasionally work outdoors. May be exposed to odors, chemical agents, dust, fumes, gases, sharp objects, hazardous or moving equipment, wet slippery floors, and extremes in temperature and humidity.
