Sheet Line/Roll Former Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining sheet processing equipment to produce high-quality steel sheets efficiently and safely. As a sheet line/roll former operator you will operate and monitor roll forming machines that shape flat steel coils into structural components such as , channels, purlins, or custom profiles used in construction and industrial applications. Your expertise will help ensure smooth production flow, uphold quality standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives within our manufacturing environment.
Duties Typical responsibilities include:
Setting up roll forming equipment according to production specifications Loading steel coils using cranes or forklifts Adjusting rollers, guides, and tooling for correct dimensions Monitoring machine operation for alignment, speed, and material flow Measuring finished parts with gauges, calipers, and tape measures to ensure tolerance compliance Performing quality inspections and documenting production results Troubleshooting jams, misfeeds, and forming defects Performing routine maintenance and keeping equipment clean and safe Following OSHA and plant safety procedures Common skills and experience: Experience with Roll Forming Equipment Blueprint and shop drawing reading Mechanical aptitude Experience with steel processing equipment Knowledge of gauges, tolerances, and structural steel profiles Forklift and overhead crane operation Basic welding or fabrication knowledge (sometimes preferred) Loading steel coils using cranes or forklifts Adjusting rollers, guides, and tooling for correct dimensions Monitoring machine operation for alignment, speed, and material flow Measuring finished parts with gauges, calipers, and tape measures to ensure tolerance compliance Performing quality inspections and documenting production results Troubleshooting jams, misfeeds, and forming defects Performing routine maintenance and keeping equipment clean and safe Following OSHA and plant safety procedures Requirements MUST have Roll Forming Equipment Experience Familiarity with quality inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments. Ability to operate forklifts safely; forklift certification is a plus. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks; experience with hand tools for fabrication or assembly is advantageous. Warehouse experience or materials handling background is beneficial for efficient workflow management. Strong understanding of safety procedures related to Steel processing equipment and manufacturing environments. Compensation Starting Wages at $17.00 an hour, based on experience Company 401
