Job Description

Overview Sellers Tile is seeking a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Sawjet and Router Operator to join our stone fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating CNC machinery to cut, shape, and fabricate materials with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure that production runs smoothly, safety standards are upheld, and quality specifications are met consistently. A stone fabrication facility computer numerical control sawjet and router operator is responsible for the daily operation of computer numerical control machinery in the fabrication facility. Utilizing multiple computer software programs, the operator will ensure that all pieces of equipment are in constant motion so that production goals are achieved. In addition to programming CNC machines, the operator will perform all machinery or tooling maintenance and repair within the scope of the position. This position assists the CNC loader/unloader position with material movement. The operator will train new employees in the position of CNC sawjet and router loader/unloader to ensure that the new employee is taught the safe and correct way to perform the tasks associated with that position. Personal protective equipment and training are provided to promote employee safety. Employees in this position must be physically able to stand for several hours, while continuously climbing steps at the machines, as well as pushing carts loaded with hundreds of pounds of stone tops. This is an hourly position with opportunity to obtain pay increases and participate in incentive programs Duties Maintain, clean and organize all related tools and equipment daily Keep work area clean and free of hazards and obstructions Follow daily fabrication schedule to ensure workflow is maintained Responsible for opening and closing procedures on all computer numerical control machinery Taking and saving overhead photographs on the sawjet machine Overlay parts on the material and assign toolpaths on the sawjet Troubleshooting and repairing the CNC machines and all related equipment as needed Report any unsafe conditions to the stone fabrication facility supervisor Restarting the CNC machines after alarm shutdown or restart Scanning paperwork on the router for pod and part setup Assist other employees when needed Ensure that all parts are placed accurately before program begins on the router Maintaining router tooling profiles utilizing laser systems and dressing sticks Assist the loaders/unloaders to ensure safe and accurate fabrication Assist with the loading and unloading of stone trucks to include delivery paperwork and electronic entry Modify inventory on electronic devices to reflect partial numbers and locations during partial removal Any other tasks assigned by the stone fabrication facility supervisor Meet daily production goals as determined by the stone fabrication facility supervisor Train new employees in the position of computer numerical sawjet and router loader/unloader position Requirements Experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathe, or CNC Sawjet/Router systems or other similar systems where knowledge will transfer. Forklift certification or experience operating forklifts Strong attention to detail combined with excellent problem-solving skills; ability to interpret technical data accurately Effective communication skills for collaborating within a team environment; capable of following detailed instructions and maintaining high-quality standards
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
