This role is for someone who already understands the sign industry, production workflows, commercial signage, team leadership, and operational management. We are expanding into larger-format commercial signage, architectural graphics, environmental branding, ADA signage, retail graphics, and custom fabrication with the addition of new UV hybrid printing and flatbed cutting equipment. We are looking for a leader who can help build systems, improve production efficiency, manage staff, and help push the company toward long-term commercial growth. This is not an entry-level production role. We are looking for someone who can think strategically, lead confidently, and help scale operations. We are looking for someone who: Thinks like an owner Understands how to scale a sign shop Can improve systems and workflow Understands pricing and profitability Can help lead the company into larger commercial print opportunities Can help us avoid wasting time and money through trial and error Key Responsibilities Production & Operations Management Oversee daily production operations across signage and print departments Manage workflow scheduling, job prioritization, and production timelines Ensure jobs are completed accurately, efficiently, and on time Monitor production quality and maintain quality control standards Improve production systems, processes, and operational efficiency Help implement SOPs and scalable workflows for growth Reduce production waste and improve material/labor efficiency Coordinate installation preparation and production handoff processes Commercial Signage Leadership Help expand Dash Print Co into commercial signage and architectural graphics Assist with launching and managing new signage product categories Understand and manage production for: Commercial signage Environmental graphics Wall and window graphics ADA signage Retail graphics Fleet graphics Acrylic signage Directional and wayfinding systems Work alongside ownership to improve service offerings and shop capabilities Team Leadership & Staff Management Lead and manage production staff and shop operations Train employees on workflows, production standards, and accountability Create a positive but structured production environment Hold team members accountable for quality, deadlines, and shop procedures Help identify hiring needs and support onboarding/training processes Estimating & Project Coordination Review files and production requirements before jobs enter production Assist with estimating, production planning, and material usage Coordinate with sales, designers, installers, and customers as needed Help ensure smooth communication between front-end and production teams Equipment & Technical Oversight Oversee the operation and workflow management of: UV hybrid printers Flatbed cutters/router systems Large-format printers Vinyl plotters and finishing equipment Assist with printer maintenance scheduling and production troubleshooting Help optimize RIP workflows, color consistency, and print quality

Qualifications:

Required Experience Minimum 3-5 years of experience managing or leading operations within a commercial sign shop or large-format print environment Strong understanding of commercial signage production workflows Experience managing teams, production schedules, and shop operations Experience working with large-format printing and rigid signage materials Preferred Experience Experience with UV printing and flatbed cutting systems Experience with architectural signage and environmental graphics Knowledge of installation preparation and sign fabrication workflows Experience scaling or improving production systems within a growing shop Technical Skills Preferred knowledge of: Adobe Illustrator Flexi, ONYX, Caldera, or other RIP software Large-format print workflows Material knowledge, including: Acrylic ACM/Dibond PVC/Sintra Vinyl films Banner materials Laminates ADA materials and signage standards Ideal Candidate Traits We are looking for someone who: Thinks like an operations leader, not just a machine operator Is proactive and solution-oriented Can build systems and improve workflow efficiency Understands commercial signage and business growth opportunities Can lead teams with accountability and professionalism Communicates clearly and works well under pressure Takes ownership of problems and helps solve them quickly Growth Opportunity This role is designed for someone who wants to grow with a fast-moving company that is investing heavily into commercial signage, large-format production, and operational expansion.
