Job Title:
Production Worker - Stamping Job Description This role operates stamping presses to manufacture metal gutter parts in a busy stamping department. You will focus on safe machine operation, quality checks, and efficient handling of finished products, supporting a high-volume production environment with strong opportunities for growth. Responsibilities Operate a stamping press to manufacture metal gutter parts according to production specifications and safety procedures. Set up and run stamping equipment while monitoring machine performance and basic operating parameters. Perform visual inspections of stamped parts to verify quality and identify defects or irregularities. Measure parts using a tape measure to confirm they meet required dimensions and tolerances. Apply and affix shipping labels accurately to finished boxes and ensure correct identification of products. Close and seal boxes securely once parts are packed, preparing them for shipment or storage. Build and organize pallets of finished product in a safe and stable manner. Use a pallet jack to move finished pallets from the production area to the warehouse or designated storage locations. Understand basic concepts of RAM pressure and how the press operates when the machine comes down, maintaining awareness of pinch points and safety zones. Follow all safety guidelines and procedures while working around stamping presses and material handling equipment. Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safe and efficient operations. Collaborate with team members and communicate any quality, safety, or equipment concerns to the appropriate personnel. Essential Skills Experience as a machine operator in a production or warehouse environment. Ability to operate stamping presses or similar production machinery safely and consistently. Proficiency using a tape measure to check part dimensions accurately. Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with industrial equipment and moving parts. Experience with metal stamping or metal rolling processes. Ability to understand and work with basic concepts of RAM pressure on stamping equipment. Basic math skills sufficient to pass a basic math test. Ability to perform visual quality inspections and identify defects in metal parts. Capability to use a pallet jack to move pallets of finished product. Reliability in following standard operating procedures and safety rules in an industrial setting. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience operating stamping presses, lathes, or mills in a manufacturing environment. Background in metal stamping or related metal fabrication processes. Prior work in a high-volume industrial, production, or warehouse setting. Strong attention to detail when measuring, labeling, and packaging parts. Willingness to occasionally work on Fridays when production requires. Comfort working in a large, industrial complex that is not climate controlled. Why Work Here? The facility is not climate controlled, so temperatures will vary with the seasons. The standard schedule for this role is Monday through Thursday from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with one 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks, and occasional work on Fridays as needed for production. The setting is structured, safety-focused, and production-driven, with clear procedures and expectations for working around heavy machinery and moving materials. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Atlanta, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
