About the Role As an Operations Technician in the Paint Shop, you'll support aircraft manufacturing and composite painting operations in a fast-paced production environment. You'll work alongside experienced team members who are committed to training and mentoring individuals eager to learn and grow. This is not a mechanical role — it is a painting-focused position within the composite shop. Candidates with painting experience are encouraged to apply, but a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn are most important. What You'll Do + Perform basic structural assembly and paint shop support operations under direct supervision + Use basic hand and pneumatic tools including drills, rivet guns, reamers, files, and countersinks + Assist with fitting, aligning, clamping, and fastening aircraft parts and assemblies + Learn to read work orders, blueprints, and specification sheets + Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards + Support team operations with a collaborative, "jump in and help" attitude + Maintain good housekeeping and safety practices throughout the shop + Grow your skills and responsibilities as experience is gained Required Qualifications + High School Diploma or GED required + Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English + Basic computer and keyboard skills + Ability to read a scale and perform basic shop math + Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn + Positive, team-oriented mindset + Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment + Must be available to work any shift + Ability to lift and transport up to 40 pounds Preferred Qualifications + Enrollment in a Technical Aviation program preferred + Previous painting experience preferred + Experience working in manufacturing, production, or hands-on environments is a plus This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain aerospace industry experience, and high-performing individuals may have the opportunity for future long-term consideration.
