Production Associate - Fabric Folder

Position Summary:

As a Folder in the Sewing Department for Georgia Expo, you will be responsible for the proper folding of the finished product before it is packed for shipping.

Areas of Responsibility:

Safety Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment in the Sewing Department. Understand and follow all safety rules including safe lifting practices and safe machine operation. Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment as assigned. Production Fold finished drape products in a nice and neat manner to be packaged and shipped to customers. Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the Sewing Supervisor. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Plant Manager.

Skill Requirements:

Ability to work in a fast paced environment. Ability to adapt and be flexible with tasks assigned. Ability to work independently, and on teams. Above average oral and written communication skills. Spanish preferred, but not required.

Experience and Education Requirements:

High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) preferred, but not required.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time. Ability to fold fabric pieces constantly Ability to lift up to 45 lbs occasionally.
