2nd Shift Production Operator Sunset Farm Foods | Valdosta, GA | Full-Time, Non-Union $13.50/hour Bring southern goodness to life and grow your career while you do it. For over 100 years, Sunset Farm Foods has been a family-owned name in quality food production, and we're looking for hardworking, hands-on people to join our production team. If you like variety in your workday, want to build real skills across a plant, and take pride in a job well done, this could be a great fit. What you'll do As a Production Operator, you'll rotate through key roles on our 2nd shift team, learning the ins and outs of food production from start to finish: Hanger
  • Inspect product for defects and move it from the stuffing line to trees/racks Stuffer
  • Set correct sausage lengths and inspect for quality Takedown
  • Inspect and verify product for packaging Packer
  • Place product into formed pockets while checking for defects Most people pick up a new role within 2-5 days, and full proficiency comes within two weeks — we'll train you every step of the way.
Schedule:
3:30 PM
  • 12:30 AM | Up to 40 hours/week, with occasional overtime (up to 2 extra hours/day) depending on production needs What we're looking for High school diploma or GED preferred A team player who's willing to learn different roles and rotate as needed Comfortable with basic computer use (we'll teach you our systems) Good attention to detail and record-keeping Food industry experience a plus, but not required Ability to read and follow procedure sheets, labels, and safety materials Physical requirements: Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, climb, balance, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Work is performed in a cool environment (45°F) on concrete floors with moderate noise levels — appropriate PPE provided. Why Sunset Farm Foods?
