Job Title:
General Production Worker Job Description This role involves assembling aluminum extrusions, frames, glass, and hardware to produce high-end window and door systems. You inspect materials for quality, maintain tools and inventory, package completed assemblies, and consistently follow established safety procedures. Responsibilities Assemble aluminum extrusions, frames, glass, and hardware into complete high-end window and door systems. Read and interpret blueprints and written instructions to ensure accurate and precise assembly. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during production and assembly tasks. Measure materials accurately using a tape measure to maintain product quality and consistency. Inspect materials and finished assemblies for quality, identifying defects and ensuring they meet specifications. Maintain tools, equipment, and workstations in clean, orderly, and working condition. Assist with general production and general labor tasks as needed to support overall workflow. Operate forklifts and production machinery, following all safety and operational guidelines. Package assemblies securely and accurately to prepare products for shipping or storage. Follow all safety procedures and company policies to maintain a safe and compliant work environment. Support inventory control by monitoring materials and reporting low stock or issues with supplies. Essential Skills Ability to read and interpret blueprints and written instructions. Proficiency using a tape measure accurately in a production environment. Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Experience in assembly, general production, or general labor. Ability to perform material inspection and basic quality checks. Experience with machine operation in a manufacturing or production setting. Capability to operate a forklift or willingness to learn with proper training. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work area. Additional Skills & Qualifications Carpentry experience is a plus and supports success in assembly and fabrication tasks. Comfort working in a non-climate-controlled environment. Willingness to work on a growing production team, including potential second shift assignments. Strong work ethic and reliability in meeting production goals and deadlines. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in a clean, non-climate-controlled production facility focused on assembling high-end window and door systems. You work with aluminum extrusions, glass, frames, and related hardware, using hand tools, power tools, tape measures, forklifts, and production machinery. The environment supports multiple shifts, including a second shift, and emphasizes safety, organization, and efficient workflow on the shop floor. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Antioch, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
