Production Associate Job Description We are a leading manufacturer of bread slicing equipment, known for our expertise in producing blades, lattice, blade guides, and honing equipment. We are seeking a dedicated second shift operator to join our team. Responsibilities Operate machinery in the e-machine department. Perform mechanical assembly and general production tasks. Understand and interpret conformance specifications. Stand for long periods, utilize manual dexterity, and manage physical tasks such as extending, bending, and lifting objects up to 75 pounds. Assemble chains and manage the lifting and moving of completed sections or boxes. Maintain knowledge of wire bending set-ups and equipment adjustments. Prioritize chain assembly in collaboration with plant supervision to meet delivery schedules. Essential Skills Mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate and adjust machinery. Proficiency in chain assembly techniques and equipment adjustment. Good communication skills. Physical capability to handle tasks involving lifting and moving heavy objects. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of inspection procedures and product specifications. The facility is divided into multiple departments, and employees are expected to keep their stations clean at all times. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Davenport, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
