Job Description

Summary The Lumber Shack is looking for a dependable, hard-working individual to join our production team. Our shop builds heirloom-quality solid wood and live edge tables that are shipped across the country, and we're looking for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, works efficiently, and enjoys working with their hands. This position focuses primarily on building table tops, preparing live edge slabs for sale, and helping keep our shop clean, organized, and running smoothly. Every day is a little different, and we'll train the right person on our equipment and processes. Responsibilities Build solid wood table tops from rough lumber, including board layout, jointing, cutting to size, and glue-ups Process live edge slabs into products ready for sale by trimming, straight-lining, and creating bookmatched sets Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Assist with other production tasks as needed Work as part of a team to keep projects moving efficiently and on schedule What We're Looking For Excellent attendance and reliability—we depend on everyone showing up on time and ready to work Strong work ethic and ability to stay productive with minimal supervision Attention to detail and pride in producing quality work Comfortable lifting 70-90 lbs on a regular basis Ability to accurately read a tape measure to 1/16" Willingness to learn new skills and operate woodworking equipment Previous woodworking or construction experience is helpful but not required—we'll train the right person
Schedule Monday-Thursday:
6:30 AM•4:00
PM Friday:
6:30 AM•12:30 PM Our schedule may vary based on production needs. While Fridays are typically a shorter day, full Friday shifts and overtime may occasionally be required. Advance notice will be given whenever possible. Pay $20•23 per hour , depending on experience. No woodworking experience? That's okay. If you're dependable, willing to learn, and have a strong work ethic, we'll train you. Why The Lumber Shack?
