Assembly Associate I Entry Level • Manufacturing / Production Position Summary The Assembly Associate I is responsible for assembling products or components in accordance with production specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. This is an entry-level, hands-on role well-suited to individuals who are detail-oriented, reliable, and eager to build a career in manufacturing. A minimum of 3-6 months of related experience is preferred; on-the-job training is provided. Key Responsibilities Assembly & Production Assemble parts, components, or finished goods according to work instructions, blueprints, and production schedules Perform repetitive assembly tasks accurately and at the required production pace Use hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, and measuring instruments as required Read and follow written work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and assembly drawings Complete production within established cycle times and meet daily output targets Quality & Inspection Inspect work at each stage of assembly to ensure compliance with quality specifications Identify and report defective parts, materials, or workmanship to the supervisor or quality team Complete required documentation, production logs, and quality checklists accurately Participate in quality improvement initiatives and corrective action processes as directed Safety & Housekeeping Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and PPE requirements at all times Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workstation throughout the shift Participate in safety training, 5S programs, and continuous improvement activities Report unsafe conditions, near-misses, or workplace incidents to the supervisor immediately Team & Communication Work collaboratively with team members to achieve shared production goals Communicate production updates, quality concerns, and material needs to the supervisor Attend daily team meetings and shift start-up briefings Support cross-training in adjacent work areas as production needs require Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED equivalent Ability to read and follow written work instructions and basic assembly drawings Basic math skills (counting, measuring, and simple calculations) Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Reliable attendance and ability to work a full-time schedule, including overtime as needed Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Preferred (Not Required) 3-6 months of experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or production environment Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, or measuring instruments Experience working in a lean manufacturing or 5S environment Physical Requirements This position requires sustained physical activity throughout each shift. Candidates must be able to:
Stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods (up to 8-10 hours per shift) Lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 25 lbs. unassisted; team lift required for objects exceeding 25 lbs. Perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements Work in a manufacturing environment that may involve exposure to noise, dust, or temperature variation Use personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection as required, and static jacket (required at all times on the production floor) Work Environment Schedule Location Environment Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM-4:30 PM; occasional Fridays as scheduled On-site at manufacturing facility—not eligible for remote work Indoor production floor; temperature-controlled with some seasonal variation Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly wage commensurate with experience Medical, dental, and vision insurance Company-paid life insurance and AD&D coverage 401(k) retirement plan with company match Paid time off (PTO), sick leave, and company-paid holidays On-the-job training and advancement opportunities Equal Employment Opportunity:
