JOB SUMMARY
The Sewing & Order-Fulfillment Specialist is responsible for learning how to customize Copper River Fleece products, as well as answering phones and associated customer service duties such as taking phone orders, picking & packing orders, delivering completed orders to the Sagle post office (2.7mi distance) daily at 4:30pm. Position assists in maintaining a clean and organized working environment, in the sewing studio, warehouse & storage locations. Position works in tandem with, and reports to General Manager. This role may serve as the on-site person in charge when the General Manager is unavailable and is expected to model excellent customer service, professionalism, and teamwork. Initial responsibilities will focus on learning the product line, the warehouse layout, and processing phone and web orders. The General Manager will provide guidance and training in all aspects of the position, including use of Big Commerce software and safe data management functions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Customer Service and Sales Answer phones, compose emails, and reply to customer emails in a professional manner. Provide courteous and professional customer service, including assisting phone and web customers with product selection, sizing, purchases, returns, exchanges, and special requests. Share product information with customers, including merchandise features, care instructions, pricing, and availability. Help resolve customer concerns in a professional and timely manner. Order Processing Assist General Manager with day-to-day operations, including processing phone, email, and web orders. Learn and operate Big Commerce sales-processing software. Process sales, returns, exchanges, gift cards, and other customer transactions. Protect confidential customer, employee, and business information. Maintain work areas in a clean, safe, and operational condition, including alerting General Manager of any equipment or software malfunctions. Follow company policies, procedures, and standards. Communicate customer feedback, inventory concerns, and work-related issues to the General Manager. Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment. Deliver outgoing orders to the local post office at the end of day. Sewing and Production Professionally customize Copper River Fleece products. Communicate sewing equipment-related issues as they arise. Maintain inventory and stock levels of all associated components required in the sewing studio. Support a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment. Keep all work areas free of food and drink. Inventory and Merchandising Receive, count, price, tag, fold, and organize merchandise in the warehouse as needed. Assist with inventory counts, restocking, and inventory reconciliation. Monitor inventory levels and notify the Store Manager of restocking needs. Notify the General Manager of any hardware or equipment issues in the warehouse.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma. One or more years of sewing experience, preferable but not limited to apparel alterations and/or production sewing. Basic proficiency using a computer. Willingness to learn Big Commerce order processing software and sewing techniques used for our garment customizing. Ability to lift and move boxes up to 30lbs containing Copper River Fleece products.
