General Production Worker - This is located in Chicago Heights, IL (1st Shift $17.25 an hour) Job Description As a General Production Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient production and packaging of products. Your responsibilities will include handling various tasks on the production line, assisting with batch mixing, and maintaining high standards of quality control. This role requires flexibility and the ability to work in multiple areas within the facility. Responsibilities Place caps and lids on bottles and package products into boxes and cases. Sort and separate finished products, ensuring quality by counting and sizing. Pack jugs and bottles into boxes and lift and stage boxes for shipment. Palletize and wrap boxes and containers, and place them into sealing machinery. Perform quality inspections and attach tags and labels to products and boxes. Pull cases from the line, stack them on pallets, and wrap and stage cases and boxes. Work on multiple production lines, assisting operators with batch mixing and janitorial tasks. Assist in making batches, weigh out product liquid, and prepare batches. Document all orders accurately and handle drums and totes. Lift up to 55 lbs and wear steel toe boots for safety. Perform housekeeping duties such as sweeping, mopping, and taking out trash when production is down. Be flexible in moving from packaging to formulation tasks as needed. Essential Skills Ability to perform multiple jobs and work in various areas. Capability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive motions. Manufacturing experience and proficiency in packaging and batch mixing. Must wear steel toe boots for safety. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in chemical, oil, or food manufacturing is a plus. Ability to multi-task efficiently. Why Work Here? Both sites are equipped with security checkpoints and multiple break rooms, ensuring a secure and comfortable working environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alsip, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.25 - $18.35/hr.
