Basic Job Functions:

Facility Maintenance Teammates ensure that the expectations of safety, cleanliness, and functionality are met throughout the facility. Teammates are assigned a specific area of the production plant daily and are responsible for maintaining that area throughout the shift. Complete a forklift inspection at the start of each shift and submit the daily sheet to management Collect and remove trash from all assigned areas including trash cans, scrap metal, cardboard, wood, and pallets Empty dust collectors throughout the assigned area Operate a cardboard bailer and trash compactors Transport dumpsters and materials throughout the plant using a forklift Respond to unplanned cleanup requests as production needs arise Identify potential hazards and report any safety or facility concerns to management Maintain accurate records of facility activities and assist with special projects as assigned Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Compensation Data $17.76/hour +

Weekly Production Bonus Example:

Hourly Base Rate = $17.76, Weekly Production Bonus = 60%. Total Hourly Rate = $27.61 Production Bonus Production Bonus percentage is variable, determinate upon attaining production goals each week. Production Bonus is paid out weekly. Profit-Sharing 10% of Nucor's pre-tax earnings are contributed to the Profit Sharing Plan annually and distributed to all eligible teammates. A large portion is deposited into your profit-sharing account, and a smaller portion is distributed in cash. Current 6-year average = 19.88% of your eligible earnings. Minimum Qualifications:

Willingness to obtain forklift certification
