Production Team Member

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Production Team Member at Janie's Mill is responsible for supporting the production of small capacity products, verifying quality, and following compliance regulations. This role is fast-paced, ensuring that each product meets our high-quality standards while maintaining efficiency and safety in production operations. The Production Team Member is an on-site position and reports directly to the Retail Lead. Janie's Mill is a farmer-owned, certified organic flour mill located in Ashkum, Illinois. We mill organic grains for home and professional bakers, chefs, and distillers across the country.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Accurately label primary packaging with correct components for production.

Quality Control:

inspect products and equipment for quality throughout the production process and report any discrepancies.

Inventory Management:

assist in inventory counts, restocking shelves, and maintaining organization in workspaces.

Safety Practices:

follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Team Collaboration:

work closely with team members, department leads, and managers to meet daily goals and deadlines. Cross train in other areas to support during times of need.

Equipment Operations:

operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other equipment safely. Follow company Food Safety Policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and cleaning processes.

Record Keeping:

maintain accurate records as required within this role. Assist with maintaining clean common areas in facility. Other duties as assigned
